ÃŽn calitate de preÅŸedinte al Comitetului JudeÅ£ean pentru SituaÅ£ii de Urgenţă, prefectul Eugeniu Avram a participat în data de 23 august, în sala mică de ÅŸedinÅ£e a Palatului Administrativ, la o ÅŸedinţă informală cu caracter preventiv având în vedere condiÅ£iile de secetă prelungită. 
La şedinţă au participat inclusiv membrii Grupului de suport tehnic pentru apărarea împotriva fenomenelor meteorologice periculoase. Subiectele dezbătute: efectele secundare ale secetei hidrologice din ultima perioadă, acţiunile preventive şi de verificare întreprinse pentru limitarea arderilor necontrolate ale miriştilor şi prevenirea producerii de incendii pe raza judeţului Satu Mare, precum şi informări din partea operatorului regional Apaserv Satu Mare SA privind asigurarea serviciului de alimentare cu apă a populaţiei.
Potrivit prezentărilor relatate de către membrii Comitetului Judeţean pentru Situaţii de Urgenţă, nu există situaţii deosebite în judeţul Satu Mare. Cu toate acestea, având în vedere condiţiile de secetă prelungită, prefectul Eugeniu Avram face un apel către consumatori să conştientizeze riscul de a rămâne fără apă potabilă în cazul utilizării acesteia în alte scopuri decât cele gospodăreşti, precum şi să manifeste o atenţie sporită privind utilizarea focului pentru distrugerea vegetaţiei uscate.
De asemenea, prefectul a cerut şefilor de instituţii deconcentrate să continue colaborarea şi buna comunicare pentru a putea gestiona cât mai bine situaţiile apărute în judeţ.
